    Ex-prosecutor guilty in 1 fight; new charges in 2nd altercation

    a) Sutton arrested on Tuesday, August 4, 1992; charged in Cherokee County District Court with battery, disorderly conduct, disobeying stop sign.

    b) Arrest result of altercation with road worker at construction site west of Columbus on K-96 where Sutton drove past 10 vehicles waiting for pilot car and struck stop sign held by road worker Jessie Mahoney. Sutton cursed at Mahoney and threw a full bottle of Pepsi at her before driving past stop sign and through construction zone.

    c) Noel [Missouri] municipal court judge Donna Watson indicates Sutton convicted for disturbing the peace on Monday, August 3, 1992; fined $50 and ordered to pay restitution. Sutton states plans to appeal conviction. Others allegedly involved in fight, Dustin R. Rose, Nevada, Missouri, and Todd W. England, Joplin, scheduled for trial September 14, 1992.
